Epic announced it is going to show off an improved version of its highly acclaimed Unreal Engine 3 at GDC.

The developer is going to show trailers of the improved engine at a private cinema. One of the new features is "Unreal Lightmass", a tool supporting developers to implement even more impressive lightning effects.

On another note Epic's latest baby Gears of War 2 is highly successful according to vgchartz data, sitting comfortably at 4.7 million units sold to consumers.
