1 of a kind Megadeth SFSGSW CD Stolen... Watch for it!

I had a one of a kind SFSGSW CD stolen from my old home I use to rent here in Owatonna Minnesota.

The CD is a reference CD that was a mastering copy that belomged to Dave Mustaine. I bought this CD from the official Megadeth store awhile back ago... I still have the CoA for the CD. Alone with the CD I also had 2 psp's stolen. This CD was the pride of my Megadeth collection and cost me a big chunk of change. The CD was also signed by Dave on the other side of the CD by Dave. Bellow is some pictures of the CD.

PLEASE email me at grimpuppy13@yahoo.com or through my PS3 online user Grimpuppy if you see or hear of this CD being sold anywhere or online.

ThankYou,
Grimpuppy

JASON NEWSTED On METALLICA's ROCK HALL Induction: 'The Black Album Band Will Be Back Together'

Former METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted has confirmed to RollingStone.com that he's going to perform with the band at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, guitarist Kirk Hammett, and the man who replaced him, bassist Robert Trujillo. "The 'black album' band will be back together and mow the shit down," he is quoted as saying. Newsted says former bassist Ron McGovney will also be on hand for the honors, as will Ray Burton, the father of the man Newsted replaced, the late Cliff Burton.

"There's three bass players getting inducted, and James, Lars and Kirk," he tells RollingStone.com. Former guitarist Dave Mustaine, who now fronts MEGADETH, will not be inducted, however. "It's not my decision," Jason says. "I have nothing to do with that. It was decided by the band, and I think it was just a hard-and-fast rule… anyone who has recorded on any METALLICA recordings that have been released to the public as an official release were invited to the induction. So, that's kind of that."

According to Newsted, it was Ulrich who made the "very recent" call, inviting him to Cleveland for the induction. "I talked to Lars, and it's all good," Newsted says. "I was happy to hear from him. I hadn't talked to him for a long time, so it was nice to hear his voice." Story found on Blabbermouth Read entire story on: rollingstone.com.

Megadeth New Album - 11 songs and 1 Instrumental

The new Megadeth album is almost complete and it looks like we are looking at a possible September release. Dave posted on the Megadeth Official Forums that the new album well contain 12 songs total, one of which is going to be a instrumental. Here is the post from Dave....

The weekend is upon us!
Droogies,
Today is the first weekend that I have been home since the tour ended, and I have a lot of work to do around my house. Shoot! Between the animals and the kids, we have a real sizable list of things to replace. Hell, just the lightbulbs alone will be a forearm workout. I just have to remember to do half the bulb replacements standing on my head so I can get even reps.

As many of you no doubt have seen on our home page, the Scars to Freedom event is cancelled. I am disappointed about this because I really thought this would be something even more off the beaten path than the Affliction Banned MMA event. It turned out to be unfortunately more like "Spinal Tarp" at the Air Force Base.

I am now back focusing on the remaining lyrics for this new record. We have 11 songs for the states and a bonus song for Japan, and we are almost done picking the 12 faithful soldiers to go on this new record. There are 11 tracks with vocals and one instrumental, and I have six more lyrics to go, which I am more than confident will come easily.

I have a meeting with Megadeth's manager today, and it should be interesting because of the nature of two of the many topics and the people involved. You see we have some more opportunities to play this summer, and to make some appearances, and I am not sure that this is what we want.

That's it for today, and you can be sure that there will be a lot of new updates and info here, at the MegaFanClub, and with the other band related sites over the next few days and weeks.

Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards to crush Club Nokia on April 7

Golden God awards logoIf a band makes an album and it isn’t awarded, did it really exist? Only if it gets cranked to 11.

Joining the legions of pop, country, hip-hop and jazz award shows parading the music industry landscape, Epiphone and headbanger rag Revolver will present the country’s first hard rock and heavy metal music award show, the Golden Gods Awards, at Club Nokia on April 7. The three-hour ceremony headlined by temple-of-thrash builders Megadeth will be culled down to one hour for an MTV2 special airing May 2.

By the way, a scrap of a category at the Grammys (there are several rock categories but only one is exclusively metal for performance) hardly counts to the devil-horn-slinging community. As Revolver Editor in Chief Tom Beaujour said, “We’re still making up for the Jethro Tull thing.” Oh, how those flute-inflicted wounds sting. READ ENTIRE STORY ON: latimesblogs.latimes.com.

"The Hardest Part Of Letting Go" - Megadeth's 2nd New Song Tiltle

Late last month Dave Mustaine gave away a title to a second song off the new album called "The Hardest Part Of Letting Go" making 2 songs officially announced on their upcoming album alone with "The Hardest Part Of Letting Go" Megadeth has also announced a song about Drag Racing called "1,320" read below for some of Dave's post on the official Band forums about The newest song title and link to the entire post.... - Grimpuppy

Today I was able to talk with Mike Gitter from Roadrunner records, who has graciously allowed me to make this record and to let me do it without some of the ridiculous things that he was ordered to tell me, and I think we are going to have a really good record.

Lemme see, I sent him the music for Track 2, and he said, "this just got my d*ck hard," which suggest success. I am really excited about the lyrics and the title that I have chosen for this penultimate offering to Roadrunner......

(more in entire story)

We are doing great with the progress of finishing the writing of the new record out here. I have chosen a working title and I think that it is going to stick, and the record starts out with an instrumental that is very much like "Into The Lungs Of Hell," and there are 10 more songs that are really fantastic. The is one song on here that will probably touch a lot of people; "The Hardest Part Of Letting Go."

DAVE MUSTAINE: "CHRIS IS THE BEST GUITARIST MEGADETH HAS HAD"

Droogies!

I just wrote about 6-700 words about Chris' birthday and the past few days, and the frickin page disappeared when I wanted to spell check it.

So, if this isn't as colorful as my usual posts, its because there is a big black cloud over my head right now shoot lightning bolts at the computer, and the sound of thunder while I play and replay me sticking my foot through the laptop screen!

Anyway, as y'all know, Chris Broderick turned 39 yesterday, and I am so proud of this guy. I mean, I watch him play on stage and everyday he gets better and better. We are aware of the reviews, and we still are trying to have a perfect show, so if you think that you have seen a good one, just wait until he starts to feel 100% and then after that, once I start to feel we are at 100%.

I am going on record and I am saying unequivocally that Chris is THE BEST GUITARIST Megadeth has ever had. And the real talented musicians in Megadeth's alumni will agree, he is an absolute monster. I mean, he plays the catalog better than anyone did. Jeff Young never wanted to do Chris Poland's stuff, and so on, and so on, until the last guitarist we had before we disbanded over my arm injury.

Its funny, because just when I think he can get no more outrageous, or any more thrilling with the guitar solos, he comes up with something really beautiful like Marty Friedman would do (he has Marty pretty well down pat), and then goes into the GIT styles that Jeff Young did, yet, there is still such a freshness to his playing and he is so raw, its like having a new prize bull. And even though he ain't a such a young bull, he definitely an old bull like me

I would have a much better, much more informative post, like seeing one of our old regulars here and one of our old artists, Acryl. I got his CD of his band Warhead, and I was really surprised. It was good, and although it is not my cup of tea, I can see how he is going to be successful and I wish Warhead of Hamburg, Germany the best.

That's it; time to wash the metal parts and get them to the job-site :-)

One last thing, to all of our fan club that has been meeting us out here; I am so excited to meet you all, and yes I am that tall, and no I don't smell like most metal dudes, sure I don't mind a picture (please read the manual before you get here)

Tonight is going to be a terrible night because of the facility, but the bands and the crews are all stars and we are all looking out for each other, and we will take care of the music, so you just act like we aren't playing a shit-hole and no one will notice, OK?

That's it for now, sadly, and this is nothing like what the cyber bastards ate when I spelled checked this, so if there are typos . . . get over it!

Megadeth 1st Song Title announced for new album - 1,320

Today Dave Mustaine frontman for the Metal band Megadeth posted a message on the band's official forums at http://forums.megadeth.com/ talking about TheLiveLine another way for fans of the band to keep in touch and up to date on the band. During the post Dave teased a little about the new upcoming Megadeth album. Dave stated in his post:

"As I mentioned to the MFC, today I am going to start singing at the hotel and dressing room at the gig to lay down ideas for the vocal track for the first song I have completed lyrics assigned to. It is a song called ‘1,320.’"

You must sign up to the forums to read the entire message but you can also read the entire post on Grimpuppy.com HERE for now. Now I don't know if the song is 1,320 or ‘1,320.’ as Dave had posted it. We are also not sure on the full meaning of the title yet but have heard several ideas to the meaning and I'll be sure to keep you up to date. - Grimpuppy
